Caverion delivers ventilation technology for a new university building in Germany

Caverion has signed a contract with the general contractor BAM Germany to deliver the ventilation systems for a new building of the Heinrich Heine University in Dusseldorf, Germany. The value of the contract is approximately EUR 7 million.

The new building accommodates parts of the faculties of mathematics and natural sciences. Around 70 percent of the gross floor space of 38,000 square meters is for laboratory space. In addition, lecture halls, office space, seminar rooms, greenhouses and a chemical storage facility will be built. The new building makes an important contribution to the attractiveness and competitiveness of the university.

“To make sure that students and faculty members work in an ideal indoor climate, Caverion installs more than 60 ventilation systems with a total output of more than 400,000 cubic meters per hour. Among others we are responsible for the air quality in the laboratories based on customer specifications,” says Werner Kühn, Executive Vice President & CEO at Caverion Germany.

Caverion’s delivery will be completed in January 2019.
