Caverion to provide Managed Services worth about EUR 35 million for SL in Stockholm, Sweden

Caverion has signed a new Managed Services agreement with SL, Stockholm Public Transport. Caverion will be responsible for Managed Operations including Technical Maintenance for all of Stockholm’s 100 subway stations and for six train-depots. The value of the up to 9-year agreement, starting on February 1, 2017, is around EUR 35 million for the fixed part of the contract. Furthermore, Caverion will deliver add-on services to the fixed contract.

“The agreement means that we get full service from one service provider which supports the development of the subway properties. Caverion has shown a great understanding for what needs to be done to fulfill our requirements and to support our operations,” says Jonas Lagerlid, in charge of procuring the agreement at SL.

“This agreement covers a wider range of services compared to an ordinary Managed Operations contract. Apart from the normal Technical Maintenance and Managed Operations this agreement also includes the overall responsibility for administration, health and safety coordination, information management, system management, measures for energy efficiency, quality control as well as planning the scheduled maintenance activities. The client has entrusted us with a large responsibility and I am confident that we will deliver high quality solutions over the contract period,” says Thomas Lundin, Executive Vice President & CEO, Division Sweden of Caverion.

The agreement covers the disciplines Heating and Sanitation, Ventilation & Air Conditioning, Cooling, Electricity, Information and Communication Services and Security & Safety. The total floor area is estimated at 700,000 m2.

SL is responsible for the public transport system in Stockholm. Each day close to 800,000 people use the city’s public transport. SL belongs to Caverion’s public sector client segment.
